Stephen
F. Groth
Vice President
Stephen Groth brings to Global Venture Investments
more that 25 years experience in financial analysis,
financial modeling, corporate reporting and financial
reporting system expertise. Prior to joining Global
Ventures, Steve was part of a corporate executive
group at Texaco Inc. with unique responsibility for
review of all investments and divestments (capital
expenditures, acquisitions, and divestitures) greater
than $10 million. He reviewed billions of dollars
of transactions over the course of six years, assuring
that evaluations were done in accordance with corporate
standards and that the assumptions underlying the
economic valuations were valid. He regularly advised
operating departments on the appropriate ways to evaluate
investment alternatives, and provided support for
negotiation of major acquisitions and divestitures.
Executives making investment decisions relied heavily
on the review of his group “Special Studies”
to assure that evaluations were valid for decision-making
purposes.
Steve is a CPA,
and a member of the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants. He received his Bachelor of Arts
in Philosophy in 1975 from Fordham University and
his MBA in Accounting from New York University in
1977. Before joining Texaco in 1979 he worked as an
auditor for Price Waterhouse, and as an internal auditor
for American Airlines. He is a member of Beta Gamma
Sigma.
